565 wk 1

I am crazy busy and this is the latest I have ever posted a blog. I have not even started course work for this week which is also uncharacteristic. I am working 60+ hours a week which is less than I have for most of the year, but still too much to have time for homework. I am moving into my new house, painting, and redecorating. The wedding is only 3 weeks away and my bride and I are still working on that too! Oh well, I dont know what to expect from this class, I know its about leadership in our schools, but that is hard when your not even off probationary status yet. I am looking forward to finishing up this program, I have learned a lot more than I thought I would, I have enjoyed myself to a certain extent, but I am ready to be done.

  1. Hi, Jay-

Your life sounds crazy at the moment. Moving while trying to finish the school year and getting ready for your wedding must be a challenge!

I understand your point about being ready to be done. A year ago, I did not know that the end would ever come. But, I am also so ready to be done, with school, and with this program.

I also appreciate your point about still being on probation and discussing teacher leadership in this course. I switched positions this year, and even though I am not a new teacher, I feel as though I am! Leadership is not something that is on my radar right now. I am just trying to survive the rest of the school year!

  2. I hear ya, just moved into my new house as well. The painting seems to never stop. I think it is very important in our area to provide good leadership because some of the students we deal with need very good guidance to help them with their life goals. By providing different opportunities and experiences for the students, we can show them the leadership qualities that great teachers possess.
