555 blog 1

This week is our first week of Cedo 555. We are looking at online educational portfolio examples. I looked for quite some time online and found a few good examples. I was also able to find some portfolio rubrics to use as an assessment. After reviewing some portfolio examples, I was able to construct my own portfolio rubric. I am confident that as I begin to put my portfolio together that I can reflect what I learned and meet educational standards. I am looking forward to learning how to build a good portfolio and I hope that I have all of the needed artifacts.

  1. Having enough artifacts and gathering them up is a going to be a challenge for me. I think I will have to set aside significant time and a centralized list to help myself recall what and where everything is. Yay for online storage. I think I might make a Google Doc file folder and a doc to keep track of files and links I want to include.

  2. I also worry about artifacts. A lot of the things I would consider using as an artifact would be difficult to convey or show electronically. I'll be curious to see what you guys come up with. Danelle- great idea with using Google Docs to store things and organize artifacts and things for the portfolio.

I agree with the comment about making sure we have all of the needed artifacts. It would be great to go back to our stout e portfolios using the rubrics that we created to see how far off we were when first creating them. Unfortunately, I can't figure out how to access them.

It is going to be extremely important to keep detailed records of the artifacts. I like the google website format that we are using and I think it will be a breeze uploading information onto the pages.
