530 wk 5

Things are starting to get crazy for me! I am busy coaching everyday and I don't have anytime to do anything. I feel like I am falling behind on my work, but as far as I can tell I am keeping my head above water. I had a bit of fun making the pecha ketcha, but it didnt turn out as cool as I hoped. When I started on it I lost some momentum and lacked a really good theme. I used a topic that I know would be useful to me and I am satisfied with how it came out. Its not quite as cool as my prezi (which I really enjoyed after I figured out how to use the program). The group work will be trouble for me as I will be out of town the next two weekends so I hope I can still do my part and be fair to my group members. Finding even an hour in my schedule can be pretty impossible!
I have enjoyed this class and I feel like we have learned some things that will be useful to me in the classroom and will develop into great learning experiences for my students. I am looking forward to starting our next class and I am glad Louis is teaching!

  1. Well, be thankfull that you are ahead of me at least. Ok, so maybe that isn't such a great accomplishment. I know where your at with the time constraints as I actually have had to take yesterdsay, today, and tomorrow off of everything to complete some assignments that got pushed back due to some personal issues that occured over the last several weeks. I wish you the best of luck in getting everything done and look forward to seeing your presentations.

  2. I am also having a hard time keeping my head above the water. My pecha kucha was a collabrative piece, where I had some students draw pictures and then my niece helped me tell the story. I just felt like I had two left feet when doing this project because my pictures from my camera and the scanner were too large, making it extremely difficult to put on voice thread. Then I couldn't get the timing perfect (I guess everything in life isn't perfect!)After it's all said and done my students, my niece, and I had fun making it. As for the other assignments, I still need to do them. I have an idea about the rubric. It's one for a pecha kucha that students would create. Finally for the group work assignment...I am not excited about that one becasue I think have four people commenting on the two pieces of equipment could become repetitive.

  3. I think we can definitely all relate. All though I love fall, it tends to be one of the busiest times of the year. Especially for teachers. You definitely did your part for our group work so don't worry about that. By the way, I thought that your Pecha Kucha presentation turned out great!
